San Diego!

At the end of April, we took a little vacation! Brian had to work, but Jackson, Chyler, Grandma Lewis, and I flew to San Diego to visit my sister and her family. I was worried about the airplane ride, but both the kids did great!

Kendra and her family were great hosts and really showed us a good time!

On our first day there, we went to the beach. I'm usually not a beach person, but you can't go to California and not go to the beach, right? Plus, Chyler had never been before and I wanted to take her. It took her a while to let me put her down, but once she did, she didn't want to leave! She loved picking up rocks and throwing them in the water.

The next day, we went to an aquarium where the kids were able to run around, see lots of fish and other underwater creatures (and even touch some), play with toy boats, and more.

We also went to the San Diego zoo while we were there. Chyler has really been into animals lately and I wanted to show her some of the animals she's been watching on videos and reading in books!

even though they weren't turned on!

In addition to the beautiful and fun sites, the kids enjoyed many hours of playing together. The boys enjoyed having a new playmate and Chyler enjoyed having two new friends, new place to play, and tons of new toys! While Jackson didn't have as much fun as Chyler did, he did enjoy the new faces and being held more!

It was a short trip, but we enjoyed it oh so much! Thanks Kendra, Adam, Braden, & Cameron for having us and thank you Grandma Lewis for coming with us!
