New Job... Again!

A few months ago, Brian left his job as an auditor for the state of Oklahoma and entered the banking world. He became a credit analyst for a Stillwater National Bank (SNB), a local bank that operates in Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. He enjoyed the work much more than he did being an auditor for the goverment. (As his wife, I also enjoyed the new job, but it was because of the pay raise and work perks :)

As the months went on though, work dynamics at SNB started to change. People in his department were leaving, work loads escalated, and rumore started to fly. Brian just put his head down, did his work, and tried not to worry too much. And then one day, Brian came home and told me about an interesting phone call he had. A recruiter in the Oklahoma City area called Brian out of the blue. She told him that she'd heard great things about him and was wondering if he'd be interested in applying as a credit analyst at Arvest Bank. (Talk about a boost of confidence, huh?) At first, Brian and I had two thoughts: 1) What could an interview hurt, right? and 2) We like where we're at right now and aren't really interested. Brian's interview with Arvest was a few days later and he came away being really impressed. It got us thinking and we started talking about the craziness of switching jobs after just 3-4 months. As time continued, more people were leaving SNB, the offer came in from Arvest, and our decision became clearer. Arvest Bank was the place for us. In just a small two week span, Brian went from happily working at SNB to accepting a job at Arvest Bank.

It's still crazy how fast everything happened. I mean, this is Brian's 3rd job in just 16 months! That being said, we know without a doubt that each job was a blessing from the Lord, coming at a critical period in our lives, and ultimately leading us to where we are today. 

How grateful we are for the Lord's hand in our lives
and the shower of blessing that has poured down upon us.
